Wedding pies have a long history, and now they are firmly back in fashion. When it comes to planning a wedding, there are certain items that are on every bride and groom’s shopping list. Flowers: yes. Cake: definitely. But how many happy couples want a pork pie to star in their nuptials?
Well, according to the experts, quite a lot of us. Yorkshire based wedding planner Enock Carter predicted that pies will be one of the hottest wedding trends of 2017, while at this year’s British Pie Awards, the “speciality” category will be wedding pies for the first time in the awards’ history.
We can create each tier of the pie in a different flavour and you can have as many or as few layers as you’d like, according to the size of your reception. A single layer, with lettering, can also make amazing centre pieces for a big birthday or anniversary celebration.
